Open in threadcap iron question
How do I know if the cap iron on any plane is the right one? I just purchased an early Bedrock 606. Unless the blade is pretty much fully retracted the cap iron protrudes through the throat. Seems to me that this cap iron is too long. I've never thought of a cap iron in terms of length before, only width.
How would I go about getting the appropriate cap iron for this plane?
