Cleaning wooden planes

by Scott MacLEOD, Saturday, August 15, 2009, 23:21

I just bought a bunch (more) wooden molding planes. These were grungier than usual and appear to have what could be mold on them. Any suggestions for gently cleaning them up. I dont want to do an aggressive and intrusive scrubbing but cant leave them the way they are. Thanks in advance.

what i use to clean up old wood planes is a wood cleaner with a combination of beeswax and citrus oil. It really does the trick to remove the grung amd not the character
